Grand Teton & Yellowstone national parks, Wyoming

Jackson, WY | Montana | Idaho

Two of the most spectacular natural wonders in the U.S. are side-by-side, which is why the post covers them both. The final stop on our 2020 fifth wheel trip took us to Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park (Idaho, Montana, Wyoming).

We chose to camp onsite at Grand Teton, but Yellowstone also offers campsites in the park as well. There are also plenty of other lodging options, including the beautiful Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone.

We spent a day in Jackson. Jeff and our oldest went whitewater rafting with Teton Whitewater. They had a great time while Michelle and Nana took the littles around town. We stopped at Persephone Bakery where we had the best chocolate chip cookie in the world.

We stopped by Bear World in Rexburg, Idaho, for the kids. It’s basically a drive-through wildlife zoo. It was really cool to see bears, elk, deer, wolves, and other native wildlife.

On our final day of the trip, it began snowing. Not a gentle dusting. We’re talking big, fat flakes of snow – in June. In a panic, we had to clean off the camper and hit the road before heavier snow moved in. So, along with your bear spray, be prepared for all weather.
