There’s SO much to do in Kansas City – we could devote an entire blog just to that! We were invited to a friend’s daughter’s graduation party outside of Kansas City in late May, so we opted to come to the city the night before for a much-needed date night.
We stayed at Hotel Indigo, which was a really pretty building. We had dinner at Farina, a swanky Italian restaurant nearby, and the food there was fantastic. We splurged and ordered the Seafood Tower (half-size) and it had giant shrimp, oysters, clams, ceviche and some other yummy seafood bites. We wandered around the city and stopped at the Hotel Phillips bar for a drink before catching an Uber to Barrel of the Bottoms for a burlesque-style comedy show. (Tip: If you go to a show there, the entrance is a little tricky to find! It’s right on the main road, not in the alleyway).
